I don’t know about you, but this year flew by, and here we are at Thanksgiving.
With all the ups and downs of the year and often praying but not getting an answer, I realized that God was working in my heart and mind. Some things happened I wish I could erase, and times when I felt very alone. But in that alone time, only then was I able to sort out what needed to be released; my grip on it was firm.
Sadly, I had to let go of some past friendships and situations; instead of enabling them, I needed to release them to God. I realized my boundaries weren’t what they should be for a healthy relationship to continue; believe me, it wasn’t easy. I had a lot of internal struggles going on during that time, and I prayed that God would get me through that. We can't grow or learn valuable lessons if we don’t let go of something we have such a firm grip on.
This Thanksgiving, I am praising God for:
All He has done and hasn't done.
Teaching me to love others when I don’t want to.
Turning my heart back to HIM and putting things last, HIM first
Teaching me patience
Being Faithful when it was hard
Keeping me on the path that leads to Him
Separating me from things that aren’t healthy
Teaching me to see someone’s true heart
Stepping back and waiting for Him to work
HIS Impeccable timing!
My new friend and puppy Monty (my springer spaniel/border collie mix- picture below)
My friends and family, and my husband, Dale
Lastly, Happy Birthday to my daughter Lauren, who lives in Australia. I am thankful to have such an amazing daughter like her in my life. Honestly, both my girls (Leann) are gifts from God.
I pray you have a blessed Thanksgiving. I hope you are counting your blessings and reflecting on God’s faithfulness in your life. How have you seen Him work?
Thank you for watching the program.
Indie, my granddaughter (she’s 2.5), also has a very cute Australian accent.
Philippians 4:6: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
