In 2016, I wrote a song called "Awesome" which initially didn't fit my project "My Shining Hour" due to its pop approach. However, it found a profound purpose after I received a heart-wrenching letter about a young teen who committed suicide due to bullying. This deeply resonated with me as I was also bullied as a child for being shy and introverted. Reflecting on how bullying has evolved with technology, I realized today's kids face relentless torment even at home. Inspired by Psalm 139:14, the song's message underscores that we are "awesomely and wonderfully made" by God's hands, aiming to instill self-worth and resilience in young hearts 🌟🙏.
My wife and I extended this mission through projects like "Victoria's Secret Hero," an eight-episode series addressing body dysmorphia and self-harm among teenage girls. We aim to teach empathy and kindness, fostering a supportive environment for those struggling with self-esteem issues. Our work emphasizes God's intricate design and the incredible complexity of the human body, demonstrating His unmatched creativity and love ❤️🧠.
