That Desert Season of Life

Waiting

Do you sometimes feel like you are waiting for God to move you in a different direction?

Many of us wonder how God will use us next and what steps we should take in the direction He is placing us.

This is why you are waiting:

• God rests you for the right time, and His purpose is to teach and train you. 

• This isn’t your time yet. You still have some internal things to work out, and He needs to show you.

• Waiting is the time to get ready for the next event that will happen in your life.

• But… what if you aren’t ready to get to the next season? 

Maybe there are things you need to ask God about that only He can show you. 

Are you trusting in Him, wanting to know more about Him, and seeking him for all your answers?

God will keep you in the desert season until you have learned to trust Him. Trust Him to lead you and guide you through some difficult things. Only through prayer will you receive that answer.

The Desert season of life can feel like forever. Still, as you wait, you will see how He is working on your behalf to carry you across to the oasis on the other side, where you will drink and be refreshed in knowing that that season was temporary. What is ahead is preparing you for the challenges you will face. 

It’s all for your benefit that you go through these things. As the Holy Spirit guides you, you can understand why you went through a long, dry time.

So pray that he will sustain you from where you are now to the next place he will direct you.
